Tim Leeper Roofing is proud to announce a sold out inaugural Golf Tournament benefitting Help Cycle Foundation and 4 deserving Middle Tennessee charities. Thanks to sponsors Accelerent Nashville and Good People Creative, and others, the event raised right around $10,000 in its first year.

The tournament took place at the beautiful Five Oaks club in Lebanon, TN on August 4th. Golfers, hole sponsors, volunteers, and the facility itself all did their part to make it a beautiful day to raise money.

Charities benefiting from the golf tournament include Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home.

Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home ministers to children and families in crisis, regardless of faith background, through residential care, counseling and other programs. TBCH cares for approximately 200 children each year who find themselves without a place to call home. All children are accepted, and the organization chooses not to accept government funding so that Christian values can be taught.

Brooks House will also benefit from the proceeds of the tournament.

Brooks House provides temporary housing for up to 20 women and their children in need. In addition to offering a safe place for families to stay, Brooks house offers educational services, career advancement programs, medical and dental services, mental health services, mentoring, legal and financial counseling and more. Brooks House is proud to offer these women and children a hand up, not a hand out.

Waves, Inc is an organization enabling individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to progress toward their full potential. They provide Early Intervention services to children from birth to age three, working with children and their families to achieve their highest potential in all areas of development including: physical, cognitive, social, emotional and adaptive.

Sherry’s Run was founded by Sherry’s husband and children after Sherry lost her battle with colon cancer. The foundation provides assistance of all kinds for patients going through cancer treatments, including assistance with rent, gas, groceries, medical premium payments and prescription co-pays. Relieving some of the stress of everyday expenses and logistics like being able to get to doctor appointments is their mission, and they do their job well.

Tim is excited by the results of this year’s tournament and is already in the planning stages to make next year even bigger and better. Different charities may benefit, but they will definitely be local to Middle Tennessee. “These smaller charities in our community don’t get the benefit of national or even international funding, yet they are very important to our friends and neighbors right here locally. We are proud to be able to give to these organizations and have big plans for next year’s event”, says Tim Leeper.
