This year’s award ceremony drew a fitting end to the hugely successful Music City Guitar Tour. At the event, hosted by Hope Hines at Maggiano’s Nashville, Tim gave away the three autographed guitars to the winning charities.

Against the Grain walked away as the tour’s big winner. Racking up over 600 votes in an unprecedented effort, Against the Grain won the first place guitar signed by Pat Summit, Dave Ramsey, Little Big Town, Jake Locker, Mike Munchak, Toby Mac, and Jared Followill of Kings of Leon. The Nashville-based ministry plans on auctioning off the guitar at a fundraising event in October.

Williamson Christian College and Our Thrift Store won the closely contested second and third place autographed guitars. Only 12 votes out of the 1500+ separated the third and fourth place charities.

Twelve charities were represented at the awards banquet this year, including Against the Grain, Williamson Christian College, Our Thrift Store, Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes, Tennessee Respite Coalition, Mercy Community Healthcare, Ordinary Hero, The Youth Life Learning Centers, Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition, Brown Dog Foundation, Watermelon Ministries, and The Samuel Dustin Clark Foundation.
